10 day package «Backcountry Feeling » :

Day 1 : Transfer from Whitehorse airport to Takhini River Lodge. Welcome drinks.
Day 2 : Visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. This is a unique wildlife viewing property featuring northern Canadian mammals in their natural environment.
Day 3 : Walking through Yukon Territory's backcountry is a wilderness adventure like none other. With a knowledgeable local Yukon guide.
Day 4 : Visit the Muktuk Kennel for an in-depth introduction to sled-dogs, the Yukon Quest and our Yukon lifestyle. Yukon Quest veteran musher Frank Turner or one of his knowledgeable satff members will lead the tour.
Day 5 : Boat fishing . Afterwards you will cook and eat your catch on site !
Day 6 :Travel to Haines Junction, the gateway to St. Elias mountain range with the highest peaks in Canada. Visit the Parks Canada interpretive centre. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the shores of Kathleen Lake. See the glaciers and ice fields. Learn the human history of the area. Flight over the glacier is an option not included in the price.
Day 7 : Bird watching with a knowledgeable local Yukon guide.
Day 8 : This horseback riding guided day trip is a great way to experience the Yukon in a shorter timeframe. The adventure will leave you yearning for more Yukon!
Day 9 : Free day, option not included in the package price visit of Whitehorse (museum, shopping).
Day 10 :Transfer from Takhini River Lodge to Whitehorse Airport.
Activities order can be changed regarding weather conditions.

Package price : 2 780 CAD / person GST included on a double occupancy basis (Add $800 for a single occupancy).

Included in the price :

  • 9 nights in one of our luxurious bedrooms.
  • Breakfasts, dinners, lunch on Days 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
  • Shuttles and transfers except for day 9.
  • Every activity mentioned except for flyseeing on Day 6 and optional activities on Day 9.

The price doesn't include :

  • Drinks. Lunch on day 2 and 9.
  • Flight over Kluane glaciers of day 6.
